Glen Shorrock launches the Mercedes Benz "S" Class

Guests received a hand written invitation from Daimler Chrysler to attend the exclusive VIP Dinner to launch the “S” Class in New Zealand. The exclusive nature of the event was apparent and just a hint of a very special moment was given.

An evening of anticipation and mystery awaited clients as they entered the venue where Daimler Chrysler was set to reveal its latest addition to the Mercedes Range – the S Class Series. Picture the mystery, the anticipation, black ties, exquisite gowns, an atmosphere of excitement in a beautifully decorated space.

Guests were welcomed with pre-dinner drinks in the pre-function area – a chance to mingle and discuss the excitement of the evening. The doors to the main venue were opened to reveal a sumptuous banquet setting and a large stage that pre-empted a grand performance to come. Following the welcome by the Master of Ceremonies and a short tantalising video about the new “S” Class, the guests then enjoyed a magnificent three course meal complimented by superb wines.

The mystery guest, Mr Glenn Shorrock, original voice of the Little River Band, performed with a small band during entrees and alluded to bigger things to come later in the evening. At the conclusion of the main course, Glenn returned with a magnificent 26 piece orchestra that had been veiled behind a curtain to perform Glenn’s Greatest Hits. The show culminated with Glenn announcing the arrival of the new “S” Class and that the car would be revealed during his encore!

The MC then invited guests to take the opportunity at their convenience to inspect the new vehicle and meet with Glenn Shorrock for autographs if they desired. Desserts, coffee and cheeses were served during this time.

As a personalised memento of the evening, each guest received an autographed copy of Glen Shorrock’s latest CD.
